My brother and I knew Sam at Marion High School. Sam and I were alumni of the MHS Class of 1947. My brother graduated in 1945, but had some classes with Sam. I remember Sam as being a very nice guy. Jim and I enjoyed and appreciated his friendship. As the years would pass, whenever I would see Sam either in the Marion Community or at the car dealership, he would always be very kind, respectful and friendly speaking fondly of our high school days. My thoughts and prayers are with Sam's family. Janet (Newey) Gilbert, the sister of the late James S. (Jim) Newey.
Carol and I send our deepest, heartfelt condolences. It was wonderful to have known Sam and tohave competde with him on the golf course. Life passes on . but memories with last for generations.

My father knew Mr. Donaldson from the years that dad conducted business with Howard Auto Sales. I know that dad really liked & respected Sam a great deal. Sam was a very fine gentleman. Our family sends our condolences and prayers to Mrs. Donaldson & family. May God bless you with His peace during your time of loss. Family & Friends of Mr. Donaldson,
There are few experiences more difficult than losing a loved one in death; no doubt Mr. Donaldson will be sadly missed by all who knew him. May you find comfort in knowing death was not God’s purpose for mankind and his purpose has not changed. His word is clear, “He will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces”. (Isaiah 25:8; Revelation 21:4)
Further, the restoration of life is guaranteed. Jesus spoke of the coming resurrection (John 5:21, 28, 29), performed resurrections and was himself resurrected by his Father. All such miraculous events took place on earth, giving us a glimpse of what is to come....seeing our loved ones again! (Acts 24:15)
Until his promises are fulfilled, may Jehovah God continue to bless & comfort you in the days ahead, as you cherish the fond memories of Mr. Donaldson.....
We believe that the concept of service is of enormous value to individuals, communities, and society in general.
