Obituary of Francis "Frank" Revord
Francis "Frank" W. Revord, 78, Marion, died in Marion General Hospital at 10:36 a.m. on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, surrounded by family and friends. Born in Munising, Michigan, to Wilfred and Ester (Staggs) Rivord, Frank married Judith "Judy" Wolf on June 11, 1960. She preceded him in death on May 4, 2017.
Following his graduation from William Mather High School in 1957, Frank enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served his country from 1957-1961. He was stationed at Midway Island on the USS Norton Sound in Oxnard, California. After his military service, Frank worked as a parts manager at Grice Motors from 1965-1988 and then at Southworth Ford from 1988-2001. He loved woodworking and NASCAR.
He will be missed by his son, Todd (Deedee) Revord, Marion; sister, Deanna Laursdorf; brothers, Terry Rivord and Wayne Rivord; brother-in-law, Rick (Karen) Wolf; grandson, Steven (Katy) Stepp; great-grandson, James Stepp; and nieces and nephews, Brett (Megan) Wolf, Gretchen (Steve) Dungey, Meredith, Darrian, and Caleb.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Sharon, Janice, Patty, and Donald.
Viewing for Frank will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with his funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 11, 2017, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN. Pastor Mick Simpkins will be officiating with burial following at Estates of Serenity.
