Rita Jeanine Frank, 83, Marion, passed away at 4:25 pm on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at Marion General Hospital in Marion. She was born in Marion on Friday, November 29, 1935, to Lauren and Hazel (Moore) Rose. On February 19, 1954, she married Paul Frank, and he preceded her in death.
Rita graduated from Marion High School and was a homemaker throughout her life. She was also a bookkeeper for many years in her husband's business, Paul's Auto Sales and U-Save Auto Rental.
She loved the Lord with all her heart and enjoyed talking to people about Him. She was a member of Grace Community Church, which she loved dearly, and especially enjoyed going to the ladies activities. Rita loved to meet her friends for lunch. She also loved sports, particularly attending her sons', Perry and Pete, basketball games. She made it a priority to attend her grandchildren's activities and sporting events. Rita also enjoyed following the Indiana Pacers and Indianapolis Colts. Rita and Paul owned a horse farm, and she and her family were very involved in showing horses throughout the Midwest.
Rita will be remembered for being very generous, genuine, and kind-hearted. She was known for helping her friends. All who knew her appreciated her great sense of humor.
Survivors include her daughter, Paula (Mark) Davis of Marion; sons, Perry (Judy) Frank of Kokomo and Pete (Sunnie) Frank of Marion; grandsons, Drew (Amanda) Davis of Noblesville, Ryan (Beth) Frank of Converse, Nick (Kristy) Frank of Marion, Taylor (Melissa) Frank of Marion, Trey (Callie) Frank of Holly Springs, MS, and Tyce Frank of Marion; granddaughters, Lindsay Davis of Pendleton, Brittany (Mark) Riner of Swayzee, Reagan Davis of Marion, Riley Davis of Marion, Christin (Joe) Becker of Swayzee, Trinity Frank of Carmel, Mikayla Frank of Marion, and Mikenzie Frank of Marion; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Rebecca Hodge of Marion.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Lauren (Hazel) Rose, and her sister, Linda Cline.
The family will receive visitors from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday, August 11, 2019, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 North Baldwin Avenue, Marion, IN.
A funeral service to celebrate Rita's life will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, August 12, 2019, at the funeral home. Pastor Tom Mansbarger will be officiating with burial following at LaFontaine I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
