Obituary of Virginia "Ginny" A. Ritter

Virginia “Ginny” A. Ritter, 62, Marion, passed away at 7:11 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.  She was born in Blackford County on February 10, 1957, to the late Dave and Jaqueline “Jackie” (Rogers) Holloway.

Ginny married her loving husband, Sam C. Ritter, on November 26, 1993, and they enjoyed going camping and fishing together.  She was a great cook and could make just about anything from scratch.  She worked as a cook at Café 37 and then The Grist Mill before becoming co-owner/cook at Momma Ginny’s.  She took pride in whatever she did.  She enjoyed playing video games, as well as watching game shows and football, especially the Dallas Cowboys.  Ginny was always surrounded by those who loved her, including her dogs, Yawney and Lacie.

She will be missed by her husband of 25 years, Sam; sons: Bradley (Beth) McGriff, Rossville; Thomas (Nikki) Dickison, Gas City; grandchildren, Dustin, Makayla, Delaneé, and Owen; siblings: Roger (Cheryl) McGriff, Marion; Melissa (Dan) Hueston, Gas City; Correna (Bobby) First, Fairmount; Jesse (Susan) McGriff, Kokomo; David Holloway, Indianapolis; and Diane Schafer, Wausau, WI; several nieces and nephews; and best friend, Tasha French, Marion.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a niece, Marissa Rose Whitehead.

The family will receive visitors from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.
