Obituary of Alice M. Fosnough
Alice M. Fosnough, 87, Upland, went to be with the Lord at 6:24 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2019, at Marion General Hospital. She was born in Fort Wayne on September 9, 1931, and the daughter of the late Earl E. and Fayma (Meeks) Williams.
At the age of 16, Alice became a member of Apostolic Friends Church (currently Countryside Community Church). She sang in the choir and taught Sunday School class for many years. She married her loving husband, Robert N. Fosnough, on September 13, 1951, and they raised six children: Judy, Cheryle, Robert, Richard, Ronald, and Debra. She was a homemaker who faithfully served her family. Alice was very caring, kind, and loving. In her leisure time, she enjoyed watching Home and Garden TV.
She is survived by her children: Judy (Larry) Miller, Upland; Cheryle Chitwood, Marion; Robert Fosnough, Washington State; Richard Fosnough, Marion; and Ronald (Jamie) Fosnough, Marion; sisters: Beverly Picco, Nancy Rogers, and Janice Hughes, all from Upland; brothers: Paul (Dixie) Williams, Marion; and David (Ethel) Williams, Upland; brother-in-law, Don Walz, Upland; 16 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were a daughter, Debra Jordan; sister, Mary Walz; brothers, Jackie Williams and Leroy Williams; and brothers-in-law, Jack Rogers and Rev. Michael Hughes.
The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at Countryside Community Church, 1647 E. 600 S., Jonesboro, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a funeral service to celebrate Alice’s life will begin at 1 p.m. with Rev. Joy Butler officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
