Ada Mae Speece, 77, Marion, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 4, 2019, in her home. A lifelong resident of Marion, Ada Mae was born on May 15, 1941, to the late Marvin and Leatha G. (Rudy) Speece.
Prior to working at Richard's Restaurant where she prepared food, Ada Mae worked in the kitchen at Indiana Wesleyan University. Over the past few years she worked at Walmart as a cashier.
She enjoyed crocheting and knitting, and she was a wonderful seamstress. She loved her dogs and also loved to hang out with her fiancé, Duane. She previously attended Brookhaven Wesleyan Church before attending Grace Community Church the last seven years.
She is survived by her fiancé, Duane Sherer, Marion; best friend, Karen Morris, Marion; cousins: Charlene Morris, Marion; Mike Rudy, Marion; Sharon Hoheimer, Fairmount; Connie (Ralph) Meyer, Indianapolis; Joe (Dana) Cox, Indianapolis; and numerous other extended cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Loran Morris.
A graveside service for Ada Mae will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at Estates of Serenity in Marion. Rev. Dr. Tom Mansbarger will be officiating.
