Obituary of Beverly Ann (Booher) Stone
Beverly Ann (Booher) Stone, 80, Gas City, passed away at Lutheran Hospital at 6:49 a.m. on Sunday, March 31, 2019. The daughter of Charles F. and Maxine E. (VanFossan) Booher, Beverly was born in Elwood on October 15, 1938.
Following her graduation from Tipton High School in 1955, she married her husband, Robert E. Stone, on May 19, 1955. She retired from Premier Home Health, where she was an Assistant Administrator. Beverly was baptized at and a member of Christian Life Fellowship.
“Loving” and “good mother” are words that truly described Beverly. She loved her husband, kids, and grandkids dearly and always put them before herself. Beverly enjoyed antiquing, shopping, reading, and working crossword puzzles. When she was younger, she cherished their family times at Kuhn Lake when they went boating and fishing. She was also a huge NASCAR follower and especially a fan of Tony “Smoke” Stewart.
She will be missed by her loving husband of 63 years, Robert; daughter, Dorothea (John) Stark, Kokomo; sons: Robert (Janis) Stone, Jr., Upland, and Stephen Stone, Gas City; sister-in-law, Nancy Booher, Noblesville; and 21 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Charles (Maxine) Booher; sons, Charles A. Stone and William Wesley Stone; brothers, Charles K. Booher and George W. Booher; and sister, Barbara J. Freeman.
The family will receive visitors from 12 noon to 2 p.m. with Beverly’s funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2019, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN. Pastor Mick Simpkins will be officiating with burial following at Riverside Cemetery.
