My deepest condolences for your loss. I hope you are able to find comfort in the scriptures at Acts 24: 15 and John 5: 28,29 which gives us a resurrection hope. At Revelation 21: 3-5 God brings out that in the future there will be no more pain and suffering. And we can look forward to what is written in Psalm 37: 9-11 and 29 about the meek will possess the earth. To find more information please visit
Our thoughts prayers and love are with you at this time of grief. Pet your mother would be proud of the good daughter you were to Barry and how you looked after him after she passed. Thinking of you Uncle David and Aunt Sue
Offering my condolence to the family and friends of Barry Newsom. Though I haven’t seen him in years, I remember the times we would visit with Barry, Pat & Perpetual when in Portland. No doubt he will be fondly remembered.
As you cherish the many memories, reflect on the time when sickness & death will be conditions of the past! (Revelation 21:3,4; 1Corinthians 15: 26) This is what our loving God Jehovah has promised and Jesus Christ himself guaranteed the hope of seeing our loved ones again by means of the resurrection. (John 5:28,29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 26:19)
May God’s word, the thoughts & prayers of others comfort you each day, as we await the fulfillment of his promises! (Joshua 23:14)
You have my deepest condolence in the passing of your loved on. He was a good soldier for the Lord. Even thou he is no longer with us physically, you hold on to the memories, for they will always remain with us.
I remember how much he enjoyed coming to my house with Patty for celebration of our Pettiford family reunion. He enjoyed setting on the front porch and visiting with all my family who sat on my porch.
He will certainly be missed, but we will always remember the joy in his smile and the cheer in his laughter!!! Hold on to the memories; until our Lord and Savior returns to take all of HIs children Home to the Kingdom He has prepared for us.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:3)
