Obituary of Gwendolyn A. Biggs
Gwendolyn A. Biggs, 86, died at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday in Wesleyan Health Care Center, where she resided.
She was born in Warsaw to the late Royce and Devona May (Wyland) Harshner. She married Kenneth L. Biggs, who survives. She retired from the Valparaiso Community Schools where she worked as a cook, bus driver, and also in the special education department. She was a member of Westview Wesleyan Church, Jonesboro.
Additional survivors include sons, Patrick (Carol) Biggs, Crown Point, Robert (Katie) Biggs, Naples, Fla., Thomas (Bonnie) Biggs, Marion, and John (Karla) Biggs, Richmond; sister, Betty Rose Tennant, Texas; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services are at 2 p.m. Saturday in Westview Wesleyan Church, 1300 W. Sixth St., Jonesboro, with the Rev. Charles McCallum officiating. Burial is in Riverside Cemetery, Gas City.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 1 p.m. until services Saturday at the church. Online condolences may be made at www.nswcares.com.
