Obituary of Claudia Priscilla Smith

Claudia Priscilla "Pat" Smith, 63, 1620 W. Euclid Ave., died at 1:45 a.m. Sunday in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Carmel.

She was born in Kyrock, Ky., to Patrick Denton and Francis Louise (Cash) Decker, who preceded her in death.

She retired in 1991 after 24 yeas of service with Foster Forbes in Marion.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Gas City. She loved Bible study and quilting. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved watching birds and cooking.

Survivors include daughters, Kip Taylor, Marion, and Donna (Riley) Rose, Converse; son, Robert Smith, Marion; brothers, Grandel (Patricia) Decker, Fairdale, Ky., and Marty Decker, Louisville, Ky.; sister-in-law, Joyce Decker, Louisville, Ky.; grandchildren, Christy Taylor, Wendi and Crystal Bennett, and Zachery Smith; and nine-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Wand B. Decker.

Services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Calvary Baptist Church, 201 E.N. "A" St., Gas City, with the Rev. Jim Sexton officiating. Burial is in Grant Memorial Park cemetery, Marion.

Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City.
