Obituary of Edith F. Simons

Edith F. Simons, 91, died at 2:55 a.m. Tuesday in Marion General Hospital.

She was born in Marion to the late McPherson and Lucille (Mowrer) Malott. She married Thomas M. "Don" Simons on July 26, 1930. He died Aug. 1, 1992. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Gas City.

Survivors include a son, Larry (Cathy) Simons, Marion; grandchildren, Leanne (John) McCormick, Indianapolis, Lara (Curtis) Lawrence, Greencastle, Sara Simons, Marion, Karen Bates, Hamilton, Ohio, and Kent (Linda) Schiltz, Cincinnati, Ohio; and eight great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Jacqueline E. Schiltz; and a brother, Francis Malott.

Services are at 11 a.m. Monday in First Christian Church, 401 E.N. "D" St., with the Rev. David Shephard officiating. Burial is in Grant Memorial Park cemetery, Marion.

Visitation is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday in Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Home, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St.
