Obituary of Juanita Sanders Baxton
Juanita Sanders Baxton, 78, 1705 S. Boots St., died at 4:30 a.m. Sunday at 2825 S. Gallatin St.
She was born in Missouri, Ark., to the late James and Jimmie (Ramsey) Sisson. She had lived in Marion most of her life. She married Troy Sanders, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Baxton retired from Emily E. Flinn Community after 13 years. She previously worked for Golden Age Nursing Home, LaFontaine, for more than 20 years. She was a member of Living Water Apostolic Church.
Surviving are sons, John Heney Thomas, Rockford, Ill., Troy Sanders, Beloit, Wis., and Bobby (Debra) Sanders, Mike (Sabrina King) Sanders and George Sanders, all of Marion; daughters, Sally Thomas, Rockford, Annie (Michael) Joseph, Beloit, Dorothy (Ulyesses) Carter, Fort Wayne, Evelyn (Broderick) Orsborn, Rex, Ga., and Diane Flowers, Marion; siblings, Abraham Sisson, Saxton, Mo., Ora Cleugh and Kathleen Lewis, both of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Evelyn Bowman, Benton Harbor, Mich.; lifelong friends, Vera and Tommy Edwards, Marion; 42 grandchildren; and 50 great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by sons, Earl Sisson and Floyd Thomas.
Services are at 11 a.m. Friday in Living Water Apostolic Church, 732 S. Pennsylvania Ave., with Elder Robert Morrell officiating. Burial is in Estates of Serenity cemetery.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until services Friday at the church.
Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., handled arrangements.
