Obituary of Madonna B. Silvers
Madonna B. Silvers, 66, 408 Third Ave., died at 10 p.m. Monday in University Nursing Center, Upland.
She was born in Celina, Ohio, the daughter of the late Raymond and Lela (Merinair) Linn. She was a homemaker and had lived in Jonesboro for 20 years. She was a member of the AMVETS Auxiliary Post 23, Hartford City, and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 95, Jonesboro. She also was a member of the Women's Relief Corp of the Grand Army Republic and a former member of the Civil Defense in Fairmount.
Survivors include a husband, Robert C. Silvers, Jonesboro; and a brother, Walter Ray Kanorr, New Bremen, Ohio.
Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday in Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, with the Rev. Mick Simpkins officiating. Burial is at 10 a.m. Monday in Marion National Cemetery, Marion.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
