Christopher "Chris" John Rosman, 55, Marion, went to be with the Lord at 12:20 p.m. on Monday, February 19, 2018, at Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born in Marion on November 14, 1962, and was the son of Jerome and Marion (Strand) Rosman. On October 15, 1983, Chris married his high school sweetheart, Susan "Susy" Shively, and she survives.
Chris graduated from Mississinewa High School in 1981 and worked at JGBowers as a construction manager for 34 years. Chris always put in 100% in whatever he did. Once he started something, he always saw things through to the end. He never cut corners and always did things the right way the first time. He loved working and did so throughout his entire illness up to the very end. Chris was a member of Maple Run Friends Church and was active in the building of the Field House and any projects the church took on. He also had the opportunity to go on mission trips with the church. He loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing and hunting. He will be missed dearly by his family, whom he loved spending as much time with as possible.
Survivors include his loving wife of 34 years, Susy; mother, Marion Rosman; sons, Craig (Macie) Rosman, Swayzee, Jacob (Yvonne) Rosman, Marion, and Bradley Rosman, Marion; brother, Mike Rosman, Marion; sisters, Mary (Scott) Shifley, Fort Wayne, Cindy (David) O'Neill, Fort Wayne, and Becky Thompson, Columbus, Ohio; and grandchildren, Hoyt, Beckett, and Naya Rosman, and a baby boy on the way.
