On Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at 1:19 p.m., Mollie Ann Gosnell, 73 years old, entered the gates of Heaven and has now received her eternal reward. She passed away at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne surrounded by her family.
Mollie was born on February 20, 1946, in Jonesville, Virginia, to Charles and Bessie (Pace) Jones. After the family moved to Indiana, she graduated from Swayzee High School in 1964. She continued her education, taking classes at both Indiana Wesleyan University and Indiana University in Kokomo. On April 3, 1964, she married Garry L. Gosnell, and they raised three children, Garry, Jeff, and Stacey. She also worked at United Technologies in Huntington.
Mollie enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, reading a good book, gardening, and canning. She also liked to crochet and make blankets for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the best wife and mother in the world and will be remembered as a very loving and inspiring lady who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Garry; sons, Garry L. (Gina) Gosnell, Jr., Jeffrey A. (Janice) Gosnell, and Stacey G. Gosnell; grandchildren, Spencer Nicole Riggs, Alex Beal, Wesley Gosnell, Mollie (Joseph) Chambers, Danielle (Jeff) Devers, Haley (Moe) Alnabulsi, Chase (Krystal) Gosnell, Chance Gosnell, and Hailey (Chad) Alexander; great-grandchildren, Lilleigh, Makayla, Patrick, Noah, Zaid, Jax, Savannah, Jude, Rowan, Lia, Adam, and Bentley; sisters, Gale (Jim) Richards, Libby Chapman, and Jennifer Massey; brothers, Dwayne Jones, Kevin Jones, and Phil Jones; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and her church family at Sims Wesleyan Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Wallace, and Jerry, and a sister, Martha.
The family will receive visitors from 2 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Rybolt Chapel, 314 N. Washington St., Swayzee, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, Mollie’s funeral service will begin at 4 p.m. with Pastor Brian Williams officiating. Burial will take place at Thrailkill Cemetery.
