Linda Kay Jones, 65, from Jonesboro, passed away at 7:03 p.m. on Monday, May 13, 2019. Born in Marion on July 14, 1953, she was the daughter of Elmer Bowlen and Evelyn Marie (Huston) Barker.
Linda worked in manufacturing throughout her life—3 years at GenCorp and then 13 years at RCA. She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother and grandmother. All who knew Linda will never forget her playful personality and loving character.
She will be missed by her daughters: Misty White, Gas City, and Nicole (Todd) Broyles, Danville; sons: Jeremy (Jennifer) Enyart, Fort Wayne, and Justin Harvey, TX; grandchildren: Wesley Mills, Jessica (Justin) Mills-Desousa, Jayce White, Kaylee Broyles, and Kaden Broyles; and siblings: Gloria Darlene Henderson, Marion; Ronald Nelson, Marion; Judy (Dixie) Taylor, MD; and Ray (Melissa) Barker, Noblesville.
Preceding her in death were her father, Elmer Bowlen; mother and step-father, Evelyn (Ray) Barker; sister, Carolyn Sue Davis; and brother-in-law, Jim.
The family will have a memorial visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with Linda’s memorial service beginning at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2019, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.
