William “Bill” Thomas Everman, 84, Marion, entered the portals of Heaven on Friday, March 29, 2019, at Marion General Hospital. He was the son of the late William Everett Everman and Nell (Davis) Jackson.
Bill was born in Bath County, Kentucky, on December 4, 1934, and retired from Ball Foster where he was a forklift operator for 27 years. He married his loving bride, Rosemary Woodring, on January 9, 1954, and they shared over 65 years of life together. He was a member of Chapel Pike Wesleyan Church.
Bill enjoyed golfing, watching the Kentucky Wildcats and Cincinnati Reds, fishing, and hunting. The greatest moment in Bill’s life was when he accepted Christ as his Savior while sitting in his living room watching an evangelist on television. His witness and testimony of Christ saving him from sin was just as fresh and new the day he passed as it was when he found Christ nearly 40 years ago. He is now receiving his reward for his faithfulness to his Lord and Savior.
He is survived by his three daughters: Terri Juarez, Noblesville; Brenda Durham, Marion; and Beth Totten, Marion; grandchildren, Stacy, Ben, Rachel (Jarred) Farr, and Sarah; great-grandchildren, Kara, Erika, twins Caleb and Christopher, Britton, Emily; and step-sister, Thelma (Wilburn) Hornbeck.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his son, Gary Thomas Everman; sisters, Anna Robinson, Clara Hunt, Sarah Emmons, Mary Brooks, and Lena Goodpaster; and step-sister, Mary “Frances” Elwood.
The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with Bill’s service beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2019, at Chapel Pike Wesleyan Church, 2171 W. Chapel Pike, Marion, IN. Pastor Steve Colter and Pastor Bill Babb will co-officiate. Burial will follow at Grant Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Chapel Pike Wesleyan Church for the Building Fund.
Arrangements are entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
