Loretta M. (Bilbee) Ward, 69, died at 11:10 p.m. May 14 in Twin City Health Care Center, Gas City.
She was born in Marion to the late Alonzo L. and Guenevere Whelchel and lived in Marion most of her life. She formerly lived in Florida and West Virginia. She married Roy J. Bilbee on May 3, 1952; he precded her in death May 19, 1985. She married Travis Ward on May 6, 1994; he preceded her in death in May 2004.
A former employee of Dana and General Tire, she retired from United Technologies. She was a member of the Dana Sympathy Club and enjoyed crocheting, bird watching and music.
Survivors include daughters, Anita (Carl) Bergner, Fort Myers, Fla., Elizabeth (Gary) Miltenberger, Morgantown, W.Va., and Rae Lynn (Steve) Rostorfer, Wapakoneta, Ohio; a son, Steve (Sharon) Bilbee, Marion; brothers, Richard Whelchel and Lon Dale Whelchel, both of Wildwood, Fla., Kevin Whelchel, Bitely, Mich., and William Whelchel, Marion; sisters, Sue (Jim) Krieg and Linda (Jim) Crosby, both of Leesburg, Fla., and Kathy Phelps, Verna Downham and Karen (Donald) Downham, all of Marion; grandchildren, Steve, Edsel, Erin, Hannah, Esther, Ruth, Devin and Richard.
She was preceded in death by siblings Wilma Venezuela, Annalee Alexander and Von Dale Whelchel.
Services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, with the Rev. Paul Rogers officiating. Burial is in Estates of Serenity cemetery.
