Alma Jean (Davis) Larrance, 89, died at 9:23 p.m. Thursday in Marion General Hospital.
She was born in Star City to the late Otis M. and Maude B. Davis. Mrs. Larrance graduated from Star City High School in 1934 and from St. Mary's School of Nursing, Gary, in 1937. She retired from the Marion VA Medican Center where she served for 25 years as head nurse. She was a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution and Daughters of the American Colonists. She was associated with the Grant County Literacy Council and the American Red Cross Blood Bank. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and was deeply loved by her family.
Survivors include daughters, Elaine Mathis and Patricia (Ronald) Isenhart, both of Marion; grandchildren Joseph (Michelle) Mathis, Indianapolis, Christina (Thomas) McConihay, Louisville, Ky., and Joshua (Sarah) Isenhart, Indianapolis; a brother, Thomas Davis, Star City; and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are in Star City Cemetery West at a later date.
There is no visitation.
Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., handled arrangements.
