Kristy Osthimer, 49, Jonesboro, passed away in her home at 11:02 p.m. on Monday, February 19, 2018. She was born in Marion on July 15, 1968, to Richard Mobley and Andra (Powell) Barbier.
Kristy graduated from Oak Hill High School in 1987 and received her licensure as an LPN from Tucker. She worked at Century Villa Nursing Home in Greentown and was a great nurse. She loved her job and cared deeply for her residents.
Kristy had a great love for animals, traveling, and the ocean. Family was the most important to her, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored. Kristy will also be remembered for her infectious laugh and how much she gave to others.
She will be missed by her parents; her son, Bryan (Cayla Lanning) Colburn, Kokomo; daughter, Megan (Kody) Lewis, Fairmount; grandsons, Carter Colburn and Kaden Lewis, and two more grandchildren on the way; brother, Chris (Missy) Mobley, Lafayette; sisters, Heidi (Allen) Miller, Amboy, and Bethany (Danny) Mendez, Greenwood; step-mother, Kay Mobley; step-dad, John Barbier; maternal grandmother, Roseanna Reynolds; two nieces, two nephews, and aunts and uncles.
The family will receive visitors from 12-2 p.m. with Kristy's funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN. Chaplain Darrell Smith will be officiating.
