Nickolas "Nick" M. Marshall, 70, passed away in his Van Buren home at 1:26 p.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2018. He was born in Marion on February 2, 1948, and was the son of the late Eugene Marshall and Mary (Moore) Howell. Nick was married to Linda Porter for 50 years, and she survives.
Nick attended Eastbrook High School and worked at Sheller-Globe as a machine operator for 23 years. He was a true family man, and he loved to ride motorcycles, watch all of the Westerns on TV, and feed the birds and squirrels. Nick also loved his dogs.
He will be missed by his loving wife, Linda Sue; children, Chrissy Pattison, Van Buren, and Jeanie (Chad) Blakely, Hartford City; sister, Pam (Toby) Fansler, Marion; grandchildren, Eric Blakely, Allison Blakely, and Jessica Pattison; special great-grandson, Bentley Miller; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Steve Garrett, Gene Bird, and many others.
Also preceding him in death were his brother, Rick Marshall; sister-in-law, Betty Stapleton; and father- and mother-in-law, Wylie (Jean) Porter.
The family will receive visitors from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Nick's funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home on Saturday, February 17, 2018, with Pastor Mick Simpkins officiating. Burial will follow at Jefferson Cemetery.
