Obituary of Ann Tobias
Ann Marie (Ervin) Tobias, 55, born on November 16, 1962, went to meet her Lord and Savior on February 2, 2018, at 8:06 p.m. at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Her family was at the bedside at the time of her death, where she passed away peacefully. She was married to Ted Anthony Tobias on May 9, 1981, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Marion, IN, and were married for almost 37 years.
Ann was a long-time resident of Sweetser and a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. She graduated from Oak Hill High School in 1981 and was Chief Deputy for Pleasant Township Trustee. She had many interests which included Scentsy, Norwex, and photography, but her favorite was spending time with her grandkids. She always carried a large purse where she could "whip out" one of her many cameras. Ann loved taking pictures of all the family events, especially those of the grandchildren and children.
Most important to Ann were her family, her husband, children, and grandchildren. She had a great love for her pets, too, particularly her little dog, Lulu. Ann was well-loved by her family, neighbors, and friends. She attended all the school functions and activities of the grandchildren and often bragged of the thousands of pictures she had taken. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Ann is survived by her husband, Ted, Sweetser; daughter, Miranda (fiancée Tyler Keith) Miller, Sweetser, and sons, Tyler (Courtney) Tobias, Columbia City, and Carter Tobias, Roann. She was the proud grandmother ("Mimi") to Ava Miller (age 9), Knox Tobias (age 2), and Hannah Grace Tobias (4 months). Also surviving are her mother, Patricia Carter Ervin; sister, Linda (Richard) Arthur; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Ervin, and brother, Michael Ervin.
The family will receive visitors from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
