Obituary of Glendora Titus
Glendora M. Denton-Titus, 97, Lafayette, died at 8:32 a.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2018, in IU Health Arnett Hospital, Lafayette. She was born in Marion on March 7, 1920, to the late Clarence and Lulu (Bates) Rook. She married Paul R. Denton, who died in 1966, and then married Albert L. "Les" Titus. He died in 1993.
Glendora worked in the payroll department for the Kroger Milk Plant in Marion for 13 years. She was a former member of AMVETS Auxiliary Post #5. Glendora lived a long life and had many memories of time spent with family. She had a strong love for her sisters and they loved to sing and play cards together. Glendora loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was very proud to see her family grow with each generation.
Glendora is survived by her daughter, Wanda J. Fisher, of Lafayette; grandchildren, Larry (Anne) Fisher, Kathryn Fisher, Kevin Hill, Kyle (Brian) Flores, Lesli (Josh) Hill Beck, Marty (Sarah) Creech, and Ann Michelle Denton; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, LaVonne Mauller; sisters-in-law, Mary Rook and Marge Foreman; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents and both husbands, Glendora was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda "Lynn" Hill; son, Richard Denton; and two brothers and four sisters.
The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion.
The funeral service for Glendora will begin at 1 p.m. with Pastor Howard Clayton officiating. Burial will be in Grant Memorial Park, Marion.
