Obituary of Bruce Kistler
Bruce V. Kistler, 84, Marion, died in Florida Hospital Heartland Medical Center in Sebring, Florida, on Tuesday, January 2, 2018. He was born in Grant County, Indiana, on November 10, 1933, to the late Russell and Dorothy (Wood) Kistler.
Bruce retired from Indiana Bell where he was a switchman. He was an avid bowler and fisherman, and he loved to play Bingo and cards. Bruce also liked going to Cowboy Church at Grace Community Church.
Survivors include the love of his life, Shirley Bramblett, Avon Park, Florida; sons, Gregory (Bonnie) Kistler, Arizona, Russell (Susie) Kistler, Texas, Brett (Cathy) Kistler, Columbia City, and R.J. (Kelli) Kistler, Marion; step-sons, Boyd Bramblett, Marion, and Todd Bramblett, Alabama; step-daughter, Sarah Heton; grandchildren, Brandon (Amanda) Kistler, Colorado, Brooke Kistler, Van Buren, Kelly (Daniel) Mathews, Arizona, Tracy Kistler, California, and Nicole (Mike) Kistler, Texas; great-grandchildren, Keagan Kistler, Aidan Mathews, Braelee McNutt, Madison Cole, Bailey Hudgens, Cailyn Hudgens, Khloe, and Nataliya; niece, Karen Kistler, Marion; nephew, Jeff Kistler, Florida; and special step-grandchildren, Jessie and Maegen.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Kistler; and great-granddaughter, Khloe Kistler.
The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with Bruce’s funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN. Rev. Dr. Tom Mansbarger will be officiating with burial following at Gardens of Memory.
