Obituary of Sharon Foster
Sharon A. Foster, 73, Matthews, died in her home at 1:45 p.m. on Sunday, October 15, 2017. She was born in Muncie, Indiana, on March 1, 1944, to the late Charles and Martha (Smith) Foster.
Sharon was a graduate of Jefferson High School and worked at General Motors for 34 years until her retirement in 2006. She had previously worked at Fisher Body. Sharon was a life member of the Gas City Moose Lodge #1514 and the VFW, member of The Legion, AMVETS, and UAW, and a volunteer for the voter booth.
She is survived by her niece, Jennifer Foster Lake, Clinton, Tennessee; nephews, Bill "B.J." (Dori) Foster, II, Matthews, and Jim (Treva) Foster; great-nephews, Justin (Brooke) Mounce, Jadon Lake, and Harley Foster; great-nieces, Katilynn Foster and Elizabeth Foster; great-great-nephew and niece, Uriah and Riley Mounce; and extended family, Dennis, Traci, and Ellie Lane.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, William "Bill" J. Foster.
The family will have a memorial visitation from 12-2 p.m. on Friday, November 17, 2017, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.
A memorial service for Sharon will begin at 2 p.m. with Pastor Mick Simpkins officiating. Inurnment will take place at 4 p.m. at Jones Cemetery in Muncie.
