Michael R. “Corey” Goff, 70, Gas City, died at 2:05 p.m. on Friday, August 11, 2017, in the Marion VA Regional Hospital. He was born in Fort Wayne on January 19, 1947, to the late Robert and Dorothea (Beedy) Goff.
Michael was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran, who served proudly in Vietnam. He was employed with the Union Pacific Railroad for 20 years, did various odd jobs, and also worked in the oil fields in Louisiana for 20 years.
He is survived by his daughter, Christina (Keith) Olson-Brown, New Braunfels, Texas; his father, Bill Corey, Sr., Marion; and his siblings, Monty Corey, Marion, Bill (Abby) Corey, Jr., Gas City, Kevin (Traci) Corey, Marion, Robert Goff, Florida, Eric Goff, Snow Lake, and Max Goff, Fort Wayne.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Judy Corey Heinzelman.
The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St, Gas City, IN. A funeral service to celebrate Michael’s life will begin at 1 p.m. with burial following in Van Buren Cemetery.
