Obituary of Paul Scheffer, Jr.
Paul D. Scheffer, Jr., 42, Marion, left this world too soon when he unexpectedly passed away at 3:11 p.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2017. He was born in Marion, and he married his loving wife, Tracy Miller, on July 7, 2000.
Paul graduated from Marion High School in 1993, and he landed a career as a truck driver with Old Dominion Freight Lines. Some of his extracurricular activities included volunteering with the Oak Hill Swim Club and Oak Hill swim teams. He was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed being out on the golf course, as well as getting his target practice in at the shooting range.
Although Paul lived only 42 years, he will be remembered for his legacy that will be passed down for generations to come. His passion was spending time with his family, living his life for them, and putting them first above all other things.
Loved ones to cherish his memory include his wife of nearly 17 years, Tracy; children, Hailee Scheffer and Dalton Scheffer, both from Marion; father- and mother-in-law, Ted (Paula) Miller, Marion; sister-in-law, Celina Robinson, Louisville, Kentucky; brother-in-law, Austin Robinson, Marion; and step-dad, Rick Hall, Marion. Other survivors include his father, Paul D. Scheffer, Sr.; sister, Jewel Scheffer; and many nieces and nephews.
