Obituary of Juanita Stevens
Juanita E. Stevens, 72, Fairmount, went to be with the Lord at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at Marion General Hospital. She was born in Marion to the late Joseph and Delila (Denney) Adkins. Juanita married Herman Lee Stevens on July 27, 1960, and he preceded her in death on October 23, 2013.
Juanita was employed at SCM for 20 years. After its closure, she continued her education to become an LPN and worked with Marion Care Group. Some of Juanita's fondest memories were spending time with her family and Marbrook Campgrounds, where she made a lot of friends. She also greatly enjoyed going on many cruises with some friends. Juanita enjoyed gardening, yard work, and refinishing furniture.
She will be missed by her children, Teresa M. (Kevin White) Stevens, Jonesboro, Dianna L. Stevens, Marion, and Jerry L. (Heidi Harrison) Stevens, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Sheena Stevens, Marion, Robbie (Dannicka) Idlewine, Fort Wayne, Katelyn Stevens, Summitville, Saleena Stevens, Wisconsin, Adriana Stevens, Wisconsin, Natasha (Gary Patt) Marks, Wisconsin, and Crystal Marks, Wisconsin; great-grandchildren, Braylen Dollar, Kaleb, Kayden, Kashton Patt, and Taylor Housel; brother-in-law, Leroy (Melinda) Stevens; step-brother, Charles (Kathy) Hoskins, Fowlerton; and step-sister, Linda Hoskins, Fowlerton.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Services to celebrate Juanita's life will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2017, at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Tom Mansbarger officiating. Burial will follow at Grant Memorial Park.
