Franklin "Frank" Eugene Stotts, 78, Marion, passed away in his home at 4:38 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018. Frank was born on September 14, 1939, in Marion, Indiana, to the late Eugene and Berniece (Myers) Stotts. He married the true love of his life, Barbara Jean Griffin, in 1957 and she survives.
Frank loved life and lived it to its fullest. He enjoyed cars, motorcycles, horses, and working on the farm. He loved his church and enjoyed working on the church bus, as well as driving the bus for Eastbrook Community Schools. Above all else, he loved keeping busy and working on many different projects at his home. He spent some of the happiest days of his life working on the farm with his family.
Frank worked 31 years at Dana Corporation and was a member of Grace Community Church. He was also a member of the Fairmount Masonic Lodge and rode in the Mizpah scooter patrol for years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Sherree (Terry) Herres; sons, Frank (friend, Bonnie Fisher) Stotts, Greg (Cathy) Stotts, and Chris Stotts; grandchildren, Jennifer Franz, Craig Herres, Brandi Goble, Josh Stotts, Zac Stotts, Kyle Pappas, Courtney Pappas, and Kerry Pappas; 12 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Sandy Comer, Karen Jones, and Brenda Reece.
Preceding him in death were his parents and sisters, Betty Gose, Ida Kay Stevens, and Loretta Ginter.
The family will receive visitors from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at Grace Community Church, 1810 E. Bradford Pike, Marion, IN. There will be a Masonic Rites service at 7:30 p.m..
Services to celebrate Frank's life will be held at the church at 10 a.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2018, with Rev. Dr. Tom Mansbarger officiating. Burial will follow at Estates of Serenity in Marion.
Arrangements are entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
The family would like to thank all of the nurses, aides, and Dr. Bendaly at Family Life Care for their loving care of Frank.
