Mike Owen - Director of Cemetery Operations and Advance Planning
Mike was born and raised in Marion and graduated from Marion High School and Indiana Wesleyan University. He has 29 years of experience in advertising sales at the Chronicle-Tribune, Fort Wayne Newspapers, WMRI / WGOM, Burkhart Outdoor Advertising, Fort Wayne Magazine, and Yellowbook.
Mike has always enjoyed serving people, and he has been able to continue doing this for the past five years at Grant Memorial Park. What is most important to Mike is that, by serving our families, he is bringing honor, reverence, and respect to their loved one. He does not do this alone, however, as he works alongside a great team.
Mike married his high school sweetheart, Diane. They have three sons, Ross (Christie), Columbus, OH, Keaton, Portland, OR, and Connor (Stormie), Marion; 2 grandsons, Sammy and Harry; and a third grandson due in August. He enjoys reading, movies, sports, and spending time with his family and friends.
Linda Cabe - Family Service Representative
Linda is a lifetime resident of Grant County and joined NSW in August of 2008 as a Family Service Representative. She enjoys serving the Grant County community with planning their cemetery needs and designing their memorial monuments and markers.
Linda’s favorite work activity is providing grief care for families after a loss. She is a certified Grief Recovery Method Specialist and facilitates a monthly Grief Care and Share Group, as well as a four-week Holiday Helps Grief Group held in November. Prior to working at NSW and Grant Memorial Park, Linda served as pastor of Back Creek Friends Church in Fairmount for nine years. She also worked as an Administrative Assistant at IWU for eleven years. She is active in her church, Maple Run Friends, and loves fellowshiping with her church family.
Linda and her husband, Jim, have been married since December of 1969. She states, “He is the most patient man I have ever met. He never complains. I am blessed.” She enjoys cooking family dinners and spending time with and supporting the activities of her three children and spouses, and their six grandchildren.
Linda’s purpose in life is to get to know, love, and care for people as Jesus has loved her.
Dan McClure - Family Service Representative
Dan has been a lifelong Hoosier and is a graduate of Oak Hill High School. He has been with NSW since 2012, helping families with their At-Need and Pre-Arrangement needs at Grant Memorial Park Cemetery.
Jodie is a resident of Warren, IN, and a graduate of Huntington North High School. She previously worked in Hotel Management. Jodie joined the NSW staff at Grant Memorial Park Cemetery in 2006. Jodie has a daughter, Jennifer (known as Skeeter), and a son, Aaron (wife, Tara). She has two adorable granddaughters, Nora and Ella.
Jodie loves spending time with her family, cooking, and working outdoors in her garden and yard. On weekends, she enjoys going to tractor shows with friends.
Cecilia “Cese” Olinger, Administrative Assistant
Cese is a graduate of Marion High School’s Class of 1961. She worked with Insurance Management for 42 years until her retirement. In 2012, she was hired by NSW to work part-time as an Administrative Assistant with the Advance Planning team. She currently works with the staff at Grant Memorial Park.
She was married to her husband, Bob, for 22 years until his death in May of 2012. She is the mother of one daughter, Lynn Harner Knowles, in Charlotte, NC; one son, Mike Alan Harner, in Smyrna, GA; two grandsons, Drew Knowles and Will Harner; and 1 step-grandson, Jack Bedna
Jose Alvarado – Grounds Superintendent
Jose was born in Guatemala, and he has lived in Marion since 1989. He started his career at Grant Memorial Park in 1992. When you see Jose on the cemetery grounds, stop by and say hello to him. He welcomes the opportunity to meet the families he so much loves to serve.
Jose’s hobbies include weight lifting and visiting antique stores. He considers himself quite the “picker”. Jose and his wife, Rosie, were married in 1995, and they have three children.
Chuck Ingram– Maintaince & Grounds Crew
Chuck was born in Marion, IN, and has lived in Jonesboro since 1986. He is a graduate of Marion High School, and he joined Grant Memorial Park in 2011. If you don’t see Chuck working at the cemetery, he is most likely in the pole barn working on a piece of equipment. His hobbies include going to Dragstrip Races with his son and restoring old trucks. Chuck also enjoys spending time with his two sons, daughter, and his fiancée, Tracy.
Thomas Danforth, Grounds Crew
Tom came to NSW in 2013 and works on the Grounds Crew at Grant Memorial Park Cemetery. He is a U.S. Army veteran and was stationed in Afghanistan. He received numerous awards and citations for his military service.
